I heard from our agency and as of today, DNA testing is schedule for this Thursday, August 16th. Since our case is in Family Court, they are going to try to conduct the social worker interview the same day so Lili's birth mom doesn't have to make another trip into Guatemala City for that. Hopefully I will get confirmation that DNA and the social worker interviews were completed, but probably won't hear anything until next week.
So, while we aren't necessarily any further along in our case, at least we know for sure that our attorney is trying to keep things moving.
Stay tuned for more details to come.

Hi Debbie & Dave,
What a beautiful baby girl. Congratulations. I don't understand the DNA part. Maybe I didn't read enough. Is that something that will change the status of the adoption?
Love the dogs!! We have one as well, just love her.
I have a new grandson, born 7-25, his name is Jackson William. He joins his sister Lily who is 2 1/2. My youngest daughter, living in Peoria, is due with her first in late October. I have to find a way to convince them to move down here too.
Terry's business is doing well. Seth helps him some and when Wesley was here over the summer, he helped too.
We bought a house on a little over 2 acres. Great setting, real private. Love it.
Gotta run...great seeing your pics and catching up. Please write sometime...
